Getting there

The Congress will be held in the adjacent cities of Cologne and Bonn. They are located in the heart of the Rhine region in the triangle formed by Belgium, Holland and Germany and have excellent public transport links.

Both cities are situated on the river Rhine at a distance of 25 km apart and are well connected by public transport (20 min. train ride).

There are three international airports within a distance of less than an hour travel.

Numerous international long-distance train routes enable good connections to major European centres (for example, Brussels 2 h, Paris and Amsterdam 3 h, London and Berlin 4 h).

By air

Cologne/Bonn has its own international airport (approx. 20 min. away) and is within easy reach of two more international airports: Düsseldorf (approx. 40 min.) and Frankfurt (1 h). Further, it is connected by direct coach (long-distance bus) routes to two low cost carrier airports: Frankfurt Hahn (approx. 2 h) and Düsseldorf Weeze (approx. 2 h).

Airport Cologne/Bonn (CGN)

Cologne/Bonn Airport is the major hub of Germanwings/Eurowings and provides many other connections within Europe and some with the US.
You can reach Cologne by local train (S13) every 20 min. departing from the train station in front of the airport (follow indications). Ticket machines are in the train station. Choose ticket 2b for 2.80 Euro.
For Bonn take bus SB60 in front of the arrival hall of Terminal 1 to Bonn main station/city centre. Departure every 30 min. Duration ca. 30 min. Price 8 Euro. Tickets can be purchased at machine or onboard. For further information...

Airport Düsseldorf (DUS)

Düsseldorf Airport is a major hub of Lufthansa and has many other international connections. Take the skytrain to the airport train station.  There are frequent connections with Cologne (ca. 40 min.) and Bonn (ca. 1 h).

Frankfurt Airport is Germany’s biggest airport with connections to destinations throughout the world. It is connected to Bonn and Cologne via a ICE-high-speed train.
